Game Reviews With Jacob: Hitman

Hitman is a franchise that has several games, but I will only be covering the latest installment made is 2016 by Square Enix and IO Interactive. That being said it is a stealth game about being an assassin. The objective of the game is to be as silent and clean as possible. The reason this is a stealth game because combat is hard and ammo is limited (if you play the game right), and you get a negative score for every non-target you kill. If it is your style, you can pick up the biggest loudest machine gun and try your luck at gunning your way to your target through the ridiculous amount of guards on every map. Now I will be explaining some of the game mechanics that are important or just cool.

1. Instinct vision

With this vision your target will show up in red, important people or guards will have a white outline, and people who will alert the guards or shoot you on site are orange. This is the most useful tool in the game for stealth.

2. Several weapons to choose from

This is a website with a list of all the weapons you can acquire throughout the game either by picking them up or unlocking them.

3. Stealth… or not

One of the best features of this game is you can choose how quiet or how loud you can do any mission. There are tons of possibilities to take out your targets and anything standing between you and them.

Those are only a few features of the game, but the best way to learn about any game is to actually sit down and play it. This game does have language and violence, so if you’re not into that, just don’t play it.

Overall, I would rate this game a 7 out of 10. It’s not the best game I’ve ever played, but it certainly isn’t the worst either. There are a couple of teeth grinding glitches and mechanics in the game, but the pros outweigh the cons in any case. I hope my review has encouraged you to buy this game or discouraged you from wasting your money.
